Anemometry Specialists was founded in 2002 by Rob and Tara Hach. Rob has been involved in the wind energy business since 1994 learning the ropes from some of the early pioneers of the wind energy market. Anemometry Specialists began with two employees and now employs 27 full time experienced staff members. Rob and Tara enjoy being part of the wind energy market and helping their customers with Met tower and wind assessment projects. Rob is an active member of many wind energy associations and organizations including being a board member of the Iowa Wind Energy Association.

Our corporate office is located in Alta, Iowa. This centralized location is in the heart of the great plains Wind Corridor and is surrounded with wind turbines. In fact, all you have to do is walk out the front door to see some of the early wind turbines gently turning a few hundred yards away. Anemometry Specialists proximity to the wind corridor is a major reason why we have been selected to install over 1,700 met towers.
